The primary goal of administration is to concern welfare of the public. As the fundamental unit of administration, all the measures that the town’s city hall takes have great relationship to people’s daily life. Since the time and environment change drastically, the demands of the public also differ. Our town’s city hall’s perspective is to fulfill the public’s request. The trend of our time has been greatly declined to Internet, and we hope to provide the channel for two-way communication through establishing the website. Although our city hall holds a mass of different affairs, Qin-Shen has been doing my best in administrating our town and enhancing the living quality and welfare of our townsmen. In return of our townsmen’s support and help, all the promises that I made are accomplishing in accordance to its priority. Due to the diversity of our society, our townsmen pay more and more attention to our town’s affairs. Therefore, the administration continues its mind of service and enlarges its services to all the classes of our town. We make our office more automatically, and we keep on executing the welfare policy to help the minority. Moreover, we hope to establish a new perspective of “New Fushing, new orientation” by building town’s infrastructure, nursing the younger and promoting the development of our physical activities.

About Fusing

Most our townsmen were immigrated from Chuanzhou and Xiamen of Fuzian Province. When Lugang was at is prosperity in late Ming dynasty, our townsmen continuously entered Fusing from Lugang and Wangkung. Some of townsmen came to Taiwan to cultivate with Cheng Chen Kung, namely Duke Yanping, and they first lived by the sea and then moved to inland of our town. At the year of Yungzeng, people of Taiwan and Fuzian were much closely communicated. As the population grew, our townsmen were spread to all the territories of today’s Fushing. At the end of Chin dynasty, our town was under jurisdiction of Changua County. At the occupation of Japanese, the jurisdiction turned to Lukang sub-city hall, namely the 15th section. In the 14th year before MIngkuo, Fusing was officially assigned to Taichung city hall. The administration of town was divided into two major sections including Fangshi and HungJueliao, and the city hall mainly dealt with general affairs of townsmen. In the 11th year before Mingkuo, Fusing was under jurisdiction of Changhua and Lugang city hall, all the section was named Fushing village except Show Chu, Sishi, Tungan, Sanho, Jengping, Maichu, Xianien and Tingnien. Our town was renamed to Fushing town at the time of victory over Japanese, and the jurisdiction was belonged to Chunghua county. By Mingkuo the 35th, Fusing was turned to jurisdiction of Chunghua County because of re-allocation of districts.

Fusing Barn

“Fusing Barn” was originally designed to store the rice, and it stands for the symbol of harvest since rice of different sections was gathered.
Fusing Barn was built at the 17th year of Mingkuo, and its traditional “tiger window” and walls by building materials like rough rice shell, rice straw and clay were well reserved. Fusing Barn has become an important landmark of Fusing town. Chunghua County was famous of its agriculture, and Fusing farmers’ association has been an essential agricultural spot since Japanese’s occupation. It is therefore the association was capable of building a barn over 3305 square meter. ”Fusing Barn” was valuable because of its roof, namely the “tiger window”, which was designed for light and ventilation Besides; the structure of barn was also special at its design. Built by old-fashioned techniques of using building materials like rough rice shell, straw and clay, the building was regarded to be valuable and reservation.

Old Canon Flat

The region of Fanpo village of Fusing town used to be an important military spot in Japanese’s occupation, and the Old Canon Flat they left was a vital symbol for local townsmen. The Canon Flat in Fanpo village was built in the 32nd year of Mingkuo. The diameter of flat is about 6 meters, whereas the height is 12. The flat has two-floored basement inside, and there is a well in the bottom of flat. The over ground part of flat is a bell-like canon in three floors, which is much alike to a common house. For those who were unfamiliar to the building, they may be surprised by the sight of walls over 120 centimeters and crooked passages in the flat as they entered the building. The sight in front of their eyes took them back to the years of gunfire and wars, and the bell-like shape of building was so unique that it was the only one in the county.
By the year of the 31st of Mingkuo, the Japanese built airports in Waipu and Fanpo to defense America’s air attack. The canon flats were left in these two places, and canons at the top of flat were used to attack the air forces of allies. There are also embrasures armed with machine guns to protect the flat, and the bell-like building is famous to its great uniqueness.

Arch Bridge

The bridge is located by the Fulu River, and it is as famous as the Kuandu Bridge in northern Taiwan. The stream here is slow and the width of river is spacious. As the river runs smoothly to the ocean, the length of river lasts for over 1000 meters. The river provides a wonderful boat-rowing area, and it is expected to be the training center for boat-rowing in central Taiwan.
At sunset, the sun colors the outlet of river into red with smooth wind. The afterglow of sun lay on the river, and it becomes a well-painted painting. As you walked by the bridge, you can see how clean the river is. The color of sky turns to blue with clouds, and the beautiful night scene is about to come alone with the moon showing up in the sky.

Fubao wetland
Fubao wetland is a very famous landmark in central Taiwan, and its reputation was built up as a paradise for wild birds. There are lots of specialists and people come here to observe all the birds and wild plants of wetland, and they also enjoy the spectacular phenomenon of fisherman plucking oysters. All these things make Fubao wetland an even famous landmark in Taiwan.
Located in borders between Lugang and Fusing, Fubao wetland was suffered from inundation by the sea and land salting because it is neighboring Chunghua Seafront Industrial Area. In the past few years, people in local area and the government began to plan for an environmental protection area, and the plan enables lots of wild birds to stay, forage and breed here. Since then, the wetland has been a legend of turning a wasteland to wild bird paradise.

The Cheese Agriculture Area

At the Fubao village of Fusing town, there are almost 7000 cows are breeding in the cheese agriculture area. All the milk that cow produce are sent to future manufacture by major factories, and the milk you buy in supermarket may come from this area.
The older always commented that those who breed cows are good-for-nothing, but Wang Pai-Lian, who has a high reputation in Taiwan cheese industry, builds his kingdom at the age of 42. He not only improves the quality of cows’ milk by applying embryo transplant techniques to breed healthy cows, but also puts his efforts in breeding management and farm sanitary affairs. After running his business painstakingly for 19 years, his farm turned to cow farm for covering. By the respect and appreciation of our government, Wang receive the “Sen-Non” Award (known as the code words for best farmers in Taiwan) in 2004.
